First but not last

Finally this tiny sleeper project of mine has come to life!

This first post is going to be a simple introduction to what matters. My setup. It's constructed as an interview for The Setup. It seems fitting.

So here we go!

Who are you, and what do you do?

I create code for Miinto. This has been my day job for 6 months now. In the evenings when I'm not in the office I play with various servers and create exiting projects.

What hardware are you using?

I've been using the newest Macbook Pro 15" with 8gig of RAM for a little while now. I upgraded from the now 3 years old Macbook Pro.
Having the power to play some games whenever I have time has been a must for me.

When I'm at work it's hooked up to a monitor so I have more space for code. Currently there's another monitor sitting on my desk but haven't got around to getting an adaptor for using them both at the same time yet.

I'm also a mouse fanatic, my latest purchase has been the Razer Spectre which I've been really happy with so far.
On my desk also sits my brilliant Apple keyboard.

I'm also sporting the Beats by Dre headset which has been one of the best purchases I've made in a long time.
Being able to sit at work listening to low volume music and not hearing the noise from the sales and support people has greatly improved my concentration. And the great sound isn't bad to have at all either.

And what software?

Most of my time is used inside Textmate which is where all my code is being written. I previously used Coda but I was convinced to try out Textmate. I think I used it for a couple of days before deciding that I had found my new primary editor.

Chrome is my browser of choice. I've used Safari a lot as well but I switch between them from time to time. Right now chrome seems to have the best feel and I really like how fast it feels to use.
I use vmware for testing in Internet Explorer.

I'm a keen user of the Terminal but I've switched out Terminal.app with the promising iTerm 2. I really like some of the power features they provide.

When I need to have easy access to the MySQL server I use Sequel Pro which seems to be the best choice, regardless of it's many crashes.
We use Skype internally in the company so I'm on there as well. I'm mostly set to invisible so I don't get disturbed too much during the day though.
Dropbox is saving my life. I keep a backup of all my work there for instant backup. It's nice not to worry too much about losing important data.

Just today I installed the Github for Mac client, which seems to fit perfectly in my setup.

What would be your dream setup?

The setup I have now seems to be working pretty well for me at the moment.
I would like to get the second external monitor up and running. If anything should change I'd like to have the power of my current laptop in the shell of the Macbook Air. I'd also like to have an iPhone.
